Lactase is an enzyme found in the small intestine that breaks down lactose, the natural milk sugar. Milk sugar, or lactose, is naturally present in dairy products. It is normally broken down in the small intestine by the lactase enzyme into simple sugars, glucose, and galactose, which are absorbed into the bloodstream. Some children and many adults do not produce enough lactase, which reduces their ability to digest milk. 

In the case of lactose intolerance, undigested lactose enters the large intestine, where the intestinal microflora produce gases that irritate the colon, causing bloating, abdominal pain and diarrhoea. 

Lactose intolerance alone affects up to 50% of the world’s population. This means that half of the world’s population are unable to enjoy dairy products without experiencing the unpleasant symptoms characteristic of lactose intolerance (bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhoea).

When lactose-intolerant people stop consuming dairy products, their calcium intake tends to be lower, which can be a serious problem for the human body.

Composition:  Bulking agent microcrystalline cellulose, lactase 100 000 ALU/g (Aspergillus oryzae), stabiliser hydroxypropylmethyl cellulose, anti-caking agent silicon dioxide and magnesium stearate, glazing agents polyvinyl alcohol, anti-caking agent talc, humectant polyethylene glycol, stabiliser polysorbate.

Contents: 50 tablets.

                  Weight of content: 12 g.

Dosage: The product is intended for people suffering with lactose intolerance. Take 1 tablet with each meal containing lactose. If needed, it is possible to take 2 tablets depending on the amount of lactose in the meal or your lactose tolerance. Do not exceed 8 tablets per day. The recommended dosage must not be exceeded. Tablets should be taken with food, swallowed with a glass of water.

Warning: The product is not intended for children under 3 years of age. Keep out of reach of children. It is not intended as a replacement for a varied, well balanced diet and healthy lifestyle. Lactose tolerance varies, so we recommend consulting a doctor or pharmacist regarding the role of this substance in your diet.

Storage: Store at the temperature from 15 °C to 25 °C, in the original packaging, to protect the product from light and moisture.
